The Furnace Forge Co Story
Derek Voss founded Furnace Forge Co to deliver straightforward Furnace Repair and furnace maintenance from a fixed base at 1219 S Bird St in Boise 83709. Working directly in the 83709 zip and surrounding neighborhoods, he built the operation around the realities of local homes that often feature older forced-air systems exposed to Idaho's sharp winter swings and the dust that settles across the Boise foothills.
As an owner-operated shop, Furnace Forge Co keeps every job tied to the same address and the same hands. That setup lets Derek respond quickly to calls from 83709 homes and nearby streets without routing through distant dispatch centers, while focusing on clear upfront quotes and workmanship that homeowners can check on the spot.
The approach stays grounded in the day-to-day conditions of Ada County housing stock, where tight crawl spaces, aging duct runs, and frequent furnace maintenance needs shape each repair call.
I grew up in Boise 83709 and spent years handling furnace issues in the homes around that zip code before opening Furnace Forge Co at 1219 S Bird St. I started the business to focus on furnace repair and furnace maintenance for neighbors in 83709 and the immediate surrounds, using what I already knew about the local housing stock and how it ages.

What Boise 83709, ID Customers Say
“My furnace quit producing heat during the cold snap last month. The tech replaced the cracked heat exchanger and recalibrated the gas pressure. The system now runs quietly and keeps the upstairs bedrooms at a steady temperature.”
“The blower motor started screeching every time it kicked on. Furnace Forge Co swapped in a new motor and balanced the wheel. It stopped the noise and the airflow feels stronger through the vents.”
“Our unit kept short-cycling on the coldest nights. They diagnosed a failing limit switch, installed a new one, and adjusted the ductwork dampers. The furnace now runs full cycles without shutting off prematurely.”
